Main OldSkool Downloads (version 2.39)
While some ZIP files end in 230, all files with oldskool are at version 2.39.
OldSkool Amp'd Full (13 megabytes):
This is the full version of OldSkool. Included are the menu enhancements, singleplayer, mutator, HUDs, Unreal I models, team skins for them by Psychic_313, and Real CTF skins. Note that this package is nothing more than a combination of Oldskool Amp'd Lite (which is included in many UT singleplayer mapPack downloads) and the Unreal I models Full packages.
OldSkool Amp'd Lite (1.2 megabyte):
This version of OldSkool only has menu enhancements, singleplayer, mutator, and HUDs. (In other words, everything except the Unreal I models and skins.)
Unreal I models Full (11.7 megabytes):
This is just the Unreal I models (female1, female2, male1, male2, male3, and skaarj trooper), team skins created by Psychic_313, and RealCTF skins. This package does NOT include oldskool and has already been installed if you installed oldskool amp'd full. Most of the credit goes to Psychic_313.
Unreal I models Lite (450 kilobytes):
This merely adds basic support for the Unreal I models. No new skins are included. Oldskool is NOT included in this download.
Unreal I models Team Skins and TalkTextures(6.9 megabytes):
Team skins and Talk Textures for all of the original Unreal I skins by Psychic_313. This package requires the "Unreal I models Lite" download. If you have installed Oldskool full or Unreal I models full, this package has already been installed. Oldskool is not included in this download.
Unreal I models REAL CTF skins (4.4 megabytes):
Skins for the Unreal I models by various members of the RealCTF team. Psychic_313 has added neutral, green, gold, and talktextures to go with them. This package requires the "Unreal I models Lite" download. If you have installed Oldskool full or Unreal I models full, this package has already been installed. Oldskool is not included in this download.
OldSkool Amp'd Full No UMOD (13 megabytes):
This is a full version of Oldskool, without the UMOD installer. Extract the contents into the system subdirectory of UT.
Unreal: Enhanced: No UMOD (83 k):
A Single Player Mutator for use with Oldskool. Adds Operation: Na Pali features to OldSkool, such as the ONP HUD, dynamic footstep sounds, translator history and even fixes some Oldskool 2.39 bugs. Requires Operation: Na Pali
Installation instructions for Oldskool Full or Lite:
Step 1: Ensure that you have at least UT v436 installed.
Step 2: Run the UMOD file
Step 3: if you wish to run Unreal in UT, copy all files from maps and music subdirectories of the Unreal CD into those subdirectories of UT. Do not over-write anything!
Step 4: If you have unreal installed and the music set up (info in main text file), extract the unrealmusic.int file into the unrealtournament\system directory
Step 5: If you want to have access to the hidden song, extract creditsmusic.int into the unrealtournament\system directory and then rename the credits.umx file (in the ut\music directory) to creditsmusic.umx
Step 6: Got Rocket Arena? Extract oldskoolra.u and oldskoolra.int into the system directory to be able to play RA with oldskool weapons (select oldskool rocket arena in the gametypes).
Step 7: Got Deus Ex? Open unrealtournament.ini and find the lines that say paths=. Add paths=yourdeusexdir\music\*.umx Now you can extract deusexmusic.int to the system directory and listen to Deus Ex music in game!
Step 8: Got Return to Na Pali? Open unrealtournament.ini and find the lines that say paths=. Add paths=yourNaPaliDirdir\music\*.umx Now you can extract napali.int to the system directory and listen to RTNP music in game! Note that you cannot actually play RTNP maps through Oldskool
Step 9: If you are using a Mac, open unrealtournament.ini and find the line that says savepath=..\Save Change this to SavePath=:Save
Failure to do so will prevent saved games from working.
Step 10: Open UT, goto the modmenu and select install oldskool amp'd.
Step 11: OSA is now installed!
